Maximum feed size and inlet limitations

An inlet opening is only one part of the permitted feed envelope.

01

Measure limiting pieces

Record the largest dimensions and shape of the feed, not only its mean diameter. Firmness, fibrous material and irregular pieces can alter feeding behaviour. Use representative extremes when agreeing the trial sample.

02

State preparation explicitly

Pre-cutting, peeling, de-stoning and sorting are different upstream operations. Identify which are necessary for the proposed machine and which are supplied separately. Do not hide additional preparation inside an unexplained capacity claim.

03

Review protected feeding

Inlet geometry, metering and guarding must be considered together. Ask how bridging or an interrupted flow is handled using the actual instructions. The buying checklist is not permission to reach into or defeat a protected inlet.

04

Tie the limit to the offered model

Require the permitted input conditions in the project documentation and test them on the relevant configuration. Changing working parts or fruit condition can require a new review. No generic maximum feed dimension is asserted here.

02

Crushing chamber & housing

Inspect the product path, not just the cover. Contain the size-reduction task and direct product toward a controlled discharge. The chamber geometry must match the actual supplied structure.
