Fruit preparation
Record apple variety, firmness, ripeness and temperature. Wash and sort the fruit, then agree the largest permitted piece and the rejection method for foreign material. Do not treat hopper dimensions as a feed approval.
Mash for pressing
The useful output is mash that works with the selected press. Compare coarse fragments, fines, free liquid and drainage using the actual press and loading method. A smaller screen opening does not by itself establish a better juice-press duty.
Rate and handover
State required prepared-feed kg/h separately from the observed sample rate. Confirm outlet height, gravity or pumped transfer, receiver volume and the signal that stops feeding when the next machine cannot accept mash.
A useful apple sample
Bring representative fruit and record machine identity, working assembly, settings, input mass, run duration and pauses. Keep output samples for the downstream pressing comparison; assess cleaning access after the same run.
